Methodology
How ModCore Rankings Work
Estimated National Rankings help coaches and families see age-group standing without inventing a public leaderboard circus. Badges are estimates, gated by evidence, and limited to Top 50%+.
What we estimate
Age-group standing badges based on season hitting evidence inside the team context. Labels stay Estimated National Rankings so nobody confuses them with an official governing-body list.
Evidence gates
Roughly 10 plate appearances / 8 at-bats before badges appear. Small samples stay quiet instead of publishing noisy ranks.
Top 50%+ only
Up to five estimated badges. We do not show bottom percentiles. Youth players should not carry vanity low ranks.
What we do not claim
These are not Perfect Game, Baseball America, or USA Baseball rankings. We do not fabricate national databases or scrape private sources for marketing claims.
